📍Dar es Salaam,
The Mining Commission has invited stakeholders, investors, miners, development partners, students and members of the general public to visit its exhibition at the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) to explore the vast opportunities available in Tanzania’s rapidly growing mineral sector.
Exhibiting at the Ministry of Minerals Pavilion at the Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere Grounds, the Commission is showcasing the country’s rich mineral potential while providing first-hand information on investment opportunities, mineral rights licensing, regulatory services and modern mineral testing technologies.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Greyson Mwase, Communication and Public Relations Manager of the Mining Commission, said the Trade Fair provides a unique opportunity for stakeholders and the public to interact directly with experts and gain a deeper understanding of the immense opportunities available in Tanzania’s mineral sector.
“We warmly welcome all stakeholders and members of the public to visit our pavilion and learn more about Tanzania’s abundant mineral resources, investment opportunities and the wide range of services offered by the Mining Commission. Our experts are available to provide guidance on mineral rights licensing, regulatory compliance, mineral testing services and Government initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable mining and attracting investment across the mineral value chain,” said Mwase.
He added that the Commission remains committed to creating greater public awareness of the mining sector and ensuring that Tanzanians and international investors alike benefit from the opportunities created through the Government’s ongoing reforms.
Visitors to the pavilion are receiving expert guidance on the procedures for acquiring mineral rights, investing in the mining industry and complying with the country’s legal and regulatory framework. The Commission is also demonstrating its state-of-the-art X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) laboratory services, which provide reliable and efficient mineral analysis to support investors and miners.
As part of its public outreach programme, the Commission is raising awareness of responsible mining practices, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, and the Government’s initiatives to empower small-scale miners through formalisation, training and access to technical support.
The exhibition also highlights Tanzania’s favourable investment climate and the Government’s continued commitment to developing a transparent, competitive and sustainable mining industry that contributes significantly to economic growth, employment creation and national development.
According to Mwase, the Trade Fair continues to serve as an important platform for strengthening collaboration between Government institutions, investors, mining communities and the private sector while promoting Tanzania as a premier destination for mineral investment.
The Mining Commission encourages all stakeholders and members of the public to visit the Ministry of Minerals Pavilion throughout the Trade Fair to learn more about Tanzania’s mineral resources, investment opportunities, licensing services and the wide range of support available to participants in the mining sector.
