JAMII MALIPO MAKES BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS EASIER AND MORE SECURE

Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies, Nzuguni – Dodoma.

Businesspeople visiting the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies’ pavilion at the ongoing International Nane Nane Exhibition at the Dr. John Samuel Malecela Grounds in Nzuguni, Dodoma, have been encouraged to use the Jamii Malipo system to simplify transactions and enhance financial security.

Providing education to the traders, Chief ICT Officer Ms. Asia Abdallah said Jamii Malipo enables businesspeople to make and receive digital payments quickly, securely and conveniently, while reducing dependence on cash and the risks associated with theft and loss of money.

She said the use of the system increases business efficiency, transparency in financial transactions and financial inclusion, as part of the Government’s efforts to promote the use of digital technologies and drive the growth of the digital economy in the country.

One of the traders, Mr. Charles, said the education he received about Jamii Malipo had increased his understanding of the benefits of conducting transactions digitally and encouraged him to start using the system in his business activities.

“I will encourage my customers to make payments digitally so as to contribute to achieving the goals of the National Development Vision 2050,” said Mr. Charles.

The Ministry continues to use the International Nane Nane Exhibition as a platform to educate the public about various digital services, as part of the Government’s efforts to increase the use of digital systems, improve service delivery and promote the growth of the digital economy in the country.
