President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has laid the foundation stone and planted a tree at Kizimkazi Mkunguni Technical Secondary School in Kusini District, South Unguja Region.
The move is part of the Government’s efforts to implement Union projects, including the construction of the school, which is being carried out by the Tanzania Education Authority (TEA) in collaboration with the Zanzibar Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (WEMA).
The school is expected to improve the learning and teaching environment while enabling students to acquire technical knowledge and skills that will prepare them to actively contribute to the country’s development.
The project also aims to strengthen access to technical and vocational education and promote skills development among young people, a move expected to increase employment opportunities and prepare them to participate effectively in economic and social activities.
