The Minister for Industry and Trade, Hon. Judith Kapinga (MP), has commended the National Service (JKT), through its production arm, SUMAJKT, for using the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair, popularly known as Sabasaba, to showcase products and services offered by its subsidiary companies.
The commendation was made after Minister Kapinga visited the JKT pavilion at the ongoing trade fair being held at the Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere grounds along Kilwa Road in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking after the visit, Hon. Kapinga said she was impressed by JKT’s participation in the exhibition and the range of products produced through its various companies.
“I have visited the JKT pavilion, where they have several companies and have displayed a variety of products they manufacture. Tanzanians should continue visiting in large numbers to see, learn and broaden their business opportunities,” she said.
She noted that the Sabasaba Trade Fair remains an important platform for producers, traders and members of the public to learn about locally produced goods, exchange experiences and explore new market opportunities.
For his part, the Chairperson of the National Sabasaba Committee within JKT, Brigadier General Shija Lupi, said products manufactured by JKT through SUMAJKT are of high quality and meet the requirements of both local and international markets.
He said JKT’s participation in the trade fair is intended to give members of the public an opportunity to learn about its products and services, while also encouraging the use of locally manufactured goods that meet acceptable market standards.
The 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair has continued to bring together producers, traders and development stakeholders, with the aim of promoting trade, innovation and market access for products and services in Tanzania.
