DODOMA CITY SHOWCASES INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES AT SABASABA 2026

By Our Reporter, DAR ES SALAAM.

The Dodoma City Council has intensified efforts to position the city as a hub for investment, business, and modern development by showcasing its vast opportunities for both local and international investors, a move aimed at promoting economic growth and improving the livelihoods of Tanzanians.

The remarks were made by Dodoma City Council Information Officer, Nancy Kivuyo, while briefing visitors at the council's exhibition booth during the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba) 2026, currently taking place at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Grounds in Dar es Salaam.

Kivuyo said the council has continued to improve the investment climate by creating a more business-friendly environment that attracts investors from within and outside the country.

"We have improved the investment environment alongside the overall business climate by introducing efficient and investor-friendly systems that ensure services are delivered quickly and conveniently, while reducing unnecessary bureaucracy," she said.

Speaking about the services offered at the Dodoma City Council booth, Kivuyo explained that they are designed to benefit investors, businesspeople, and the general public.

"During this year's exhibition, the council is providing advisory services and guidance on access to investment land, land administration services, business opportunities in rapidly growing strategic sectors, and investment procedures within Dodoma City," she added.

Meanwhile, Omary Nyange, a resident of Dar es Salaam, commended the council for participating in the exhibition, saying he had received valuable information regarding the purchase of plots being sold by the council.

"I would like to congratulate you for taking part in this exhibition. The important questions I had about purchasing plots and investing in Dodoma have been answered, and it will now be much easier for me to make informed decisions because I know where to begin," said Nyange.

The Dodoma City Council is participating for the first time in the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba), being held at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Grounds from June 28 to July 13, 2026, under the theme: "The Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba) is Tanzania's Pride."
