
The delegation was led by Ms. Lee-Anne de Bruin, Chief Financial Officer of Perseus and a Board Director of the Nyanzaga Project. She was accompanied by Mr. Matt Cavedon, General Manager and Board Director of the project, and Mr. Isaac Lupokela, Chief Financial Officer of the Nyanzaga Project.
Discussions focused on the various milestones achieved so far in the establishment of the gold mine, which is expected to make a significant contribution to the national economy and improve the livelihoods of residents in Sengerema.

Minister Mavunde reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting investors involved in the country’s mining sector. He assured the Perseus team that the Ministry of Minerals will continue working closely with them to ensure the successful development of the Nyanzaga Gold Mine.
According to the Minister, the project is poised to generate substantial economic benefits for Tanzania, including increased government revenue and expanded employment opportunities for Tanzanians.
“The government remains fully dedicated to creating a conducive environment for responsible investment in the mining industry. We are committed to seeing the Nyanzaga Project reach its full potential for the benefit of our nation,” Mavunde emphasized.
