A major heart screening and treatment camp has commenced in Singida Region, attracting large numbers of residents seeking specialized cardiac services. The camp is being conducted through a collaboration between Benjamin Mkapa Hospital and the Singida Regional Referral Hospital.
Speaking during the launch, Mr. Rayhan Mbisso, Acting Assistant Director of Training and Mobile Services and the head of the delegation, said the medical camp has brought together a team of specialist cardiologists for both children and adults.
“We have come with specialist heart doctors for adults and children. This provides a great opportunity for the people of Singida to undergo heart screening and receive treatment over a continuous five-day period starting today,” said Mr. Mbisso.
Receiving the delegation, Dr. David Mwasota, Acting Medical Officer in Charge at the Singida Regional Referral Hospital, welcomed the cardiology experts and medical professionals from Benjamin Mkapa Hospital.
“We announced your arrival in advance, and the turnout on the first day is quite impressive. Patients have been eagerly waiting to receive services from you. We expect an even larger number of patients in the coming days,” said Dr. Mwasota.
Benjamin Mkapa Hospital has deployed cardiologists and heart-care specialists as part of its commitment to strengthening healthcare services in surrounding regions, while also marking its ten years of service since its establishment.
