The Executive Secretary of the Mining Commission, Engineer Ramadhani M. Lwamo, has called upon mining companies, mine service providers, mineral dealers, investors, financial institutions, development partners, entrepreneurs and members of the public to participate in the 5th Local Content Compliance Forum (LCCF 2026), describing the event as a premier platform for promoting local participation and sustainable growth in Tanzania’s mining sector.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Engineer Lwamo said the Forum, scheduled to take place from 22 to 24 July 2026 at Malaika Beach Resort in Mwanza, will bring together key stakeholders from across the mining value chain to exchange knowledge, strengthen partnerships and explore emerging business opportunities.
He noted that the Forum demonstrates the Government’s continued commitment to ensuring that Tanzanians derive greater economic benefits from the country’s mineral resources through effective implementation of local content requirements.
“LCCF 2026 is more than just a conference. It is a strategic platform that connects Government institutions, mining companies, local suppliers and industry experts to discuss practical approaches for increasing the participation of Tanzanians in the mining sector. We encourage all stakeholders to attend, learn from industry experts, establish new business relationships and seize the many opportunities available within the sector,” said Engineer Lwamo.
He added that the three-day Forum will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, technical sessions and exhibitions focusing on local content implementation, policy developments, procurement opportunities, skills development and investment prospects.
Engineer Lwamo emphasised that participants will gain valuable insights into the latest trends, regulations and best practices shaping Tanzania’s mining industry, while also interacting directly with decision-makers, regulators and leading industry players.
According to him, the Forum offers an excellent opportunity for local companies to showcase their products and services, build strategic partnerships and expand their business networks, thereby contributing to increased competitiveness and sustainable economic development.
The Mining Commission therefore encourages all stakeholders to register and secure their participation through the online registration portal at lcforum.tumemadini.go.tz.
For further information, interested participants may contact the Local Content Unit via localcontent@tumemadini.go.tz or telephone +255 763 714 026.
The Mining Commission looks forward to welcoming stakeholders to Mwanza for LCCF 2026 as they work together to strengthen local participation, foster innovation and unlock greater business and investment opportunities in Tanzania’s mining sector.
