Tanzania–U.S. Relations Strengthened as Foreign Affairs Committee Plans Tanzania Visit



Hon. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo (MP), Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, is undertaking an official working visit to Washington, D.C., United States of America.

During the visit, the Hon. Minister is scheduled to meet various key stakeholders aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations between the United Republic of Tanzania and the United States of America.

While in the United States, in addition to other engagements, the Hon. Minister will also hold in-depth discussions with representatives of the U.S. Government and Members of the United States Congress.

Among the leaders he has already met is Hon. Brian J. Mast, a prominent Republican Member of Congress from the State of Florida and Chairperson of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee. During their meeting, they agreed on several issues geared towards enhancing bilateral relations between Tanzania and the United States. The Hon. Minister also received an official invitation from the Committee to undertake an official visit to the United Republic of Tanzania at the earliest possible opportunity.
